SC State Host Charleston Southern in Final Non-Conference Volleyball Match of the Season

SC State volleyball host Charleston Southern Tuesday
Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's volleyball team will host Charleston Southern, tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 29, in their final non-conference match of the season. First serve is set for 7 p.m. in Dukes Gymnasium.

SC State enters the match with a 3-20 overall record. Desire Waller continues to lead SC State in kills with 304 (4.00 kills/per set). Waller is also playing solid defensively with 172 digs and 34 total blocks. Alyse Lewis and Victoria Ferguson are leading the team defensively with 63 total blocks and 217 digs, respectively.

Charleston Southern, who enters the match with a 5-19 overall record, is led in kills by Katrina Houston with 200 kills. Erin Lavenice has 164 and Meredith Parrott has 152 kills to round out the top three attackers for the Buccaneers.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Savannah, Ga. to take on the Lady Tigers of Savannah State Tigers on Sunday, Nov. 3 before returning home to close out the regular season next Friday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 9, against North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T, respectively.
