SC State Women’s Volleyball Begins Three-Match Road Swing Tuesday

Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's volleyball team will begin a three-match road swing tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 22, when they travel to Buies Creek, N.C. to take on the Camels of Campbell University in a non-conference matchup. The Lady Bulldogs will then travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. on Friday (Oct. 26) to face Bethune-Cookman and Tallahassee, Fla. to take on Florida A&M on Sunday (Oct. 27).

SC State enters the match with a 3-17 overall record. In their last outing (Tuesday, Oct. 15), the Lady Bulldogs defeated Alabama A&M, 3-2. Senior Desire Waller continues to lead all attackers for SC State with 277 kills (4.13 kills/set). Senior Alyse Lewis has 59 blocks while freshman Victoria Ferguson has 194 digs to lead the team.

Campbell takes a 12-11 record into tomorrow's match. The Camels have three players with over two hundred kills led by Jessica Groen with 250 (2.6 kills/set). Lindsey Coats and Alexis Hein each have 215 kills on the season. Mary Crema leads the team in digs with 528.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to Dukes Gymnasium next Tuesday, Oct. 29 when they host Charleston Southern University in a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup.
