SC State Falls to NC A&T in a MEAC Volleyball Match

Greensboro, N.C.--The SC State women's volleyball team fell to North Carolina A&T, 1-3 (21-25, 21-25, 30-28, 19-25), in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup.

Senior Desire Waller recorded a double-double, with a game high 23 kills and 11 digs, to lead SC State. Sophomore Marissa Lawrence had seven kills and nine digs while senior Alyse Lewis contributed six kills and four blocks for the Lady Bulldogs who dropped to 2-16 overall and 2-2 in the MEAC.

Aleena McDaniel put down 17 kills and Brooke Stamnes recorded 16 kills to lead North Carolina A&T offensively. Liz Martino put up a match high 44 set assists as the Lady Aggies improved to 3-18 overall and 2-2 in the MEAC.

SC State will remain in North Carolina this Sunday, Oct. 13 when they travel to Durham to face the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central.
