SC State Tennis Teams Host Newberry College

Match begins at 1:30 p.m.

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's and women's tennis teams will host Newberry College in a non-conference matchup Friday at SCSU Tennis Courts, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
       The Bulldogs (4-1) are looking to improve to 5-1 on the season against a scrappy Indian (5-5 overall, 1-0 SAC) team from the SAC conference. In their last outing, SC State defeated Elon, 5-2, for the first time in school history, while Newberry dropped a tough 5-4 setback to Coker College on Feb. 29.
        On the women's side the Lady Bulldogs (6-0) the seven time defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Champion will look to remain undefeated on the season against a tough Lady Indian (7-3 overall, 1-0 SAC) squad. Meanwhile, SC State defeated East Tennessee State 6-1 in their last outing, while Newberry routed Lenoir-Rhyne 9-0.
