SC State Drops Great West Conference Decision to Delaware State

Dover, Del.--The SC State women's soccer fell to Delaware State, 2-1, in a Great West Conference (GWC) match-up in Dover, Del. With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 7-9-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the GWC. Delaware State improved to 2-8-1 overall and 1-1-0 in the GWC.

Freshman Blanca Barrio scored SC State's lone goal at the 26:39 mark off an assist from senior Stephanie Searle.

Addison Taylor, who scored both of Delaware State's goals, got the Lady Hornets on the board at the 33:11 mark of the first half. Taylor scored Delaware State's second goal, which proved to be the game winning goal, just under 17 minutes into the second half.

SC State will travel to Newark, N.J. to take on NJIT in a GWC contest this Saturday, Oct. 20.
