SC State Women's Volleyball Set to Open MEAC Conference Play

SC State Women's Volleyball Opens Conference Play
Orangeburg, S.C.--The SC State women's volleyball team will begin the defense of its 2010 MEAC Title when they  will host Bethune-Cookman, Friday (Sept. 30), in its 2011 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opener.  First serve for the conference match up is set for 6 p.m. at Dukes Gymnasium on the campus of SC State.

SC State enters the contest with a 7-10 overall record while Bethune-Cookman enters the match up with a 6-9 record.  This is the conference opener for both teams.

Sophomore Desire Waller and red-shirt junior Shabree Roberson continue to lead the Lady Bulldogs with 213 and 154 kills, respectively.  Roberson also lead the team in blocks with 58.

Bethune-Cookman is led by Krystal Gardner with 244 kills.

SC State will host Florida A&M this Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. in a MEAC.
