SC State Faces Francis Marion in its Final Home Game of the Season

Lady Bulldogs to Celebrate Senior's Day

#5 Bahja Peeples and #11 Olivia Moore will play in their final home game as a Lady Bulldog
Orangeburg, SC— The SC State women's soccer team will close-out their home regular season this Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. when they host Francis Marion at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. SC State enters Thursday's contest with a 4-7-3 overall record and 3-0-1 Great West Conference record. This will also be senior's day for the Lady Bulldogs.

Prior to game the women's soccer program will honor two seniors who will close out their home careers at SC State. Bahja Peeples and Olivia Moore will wear the garnet and blue for the last time at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. Both individuals have been instrumental in the Lady Bulldog's recent success.

In her four seasons at SC State, Peeples has seen action in 49 games with 7 goals, 3 assists for 17 total points. In 2008, she led the team in goals, assists and points. Moore has seen action in 55 games with 26 goals, 7 assists for 57 total points in two seasons at SC State.

In her two seasons at SC State Olivia Moore has played in 55 games with 26 goals, 7 assists for 57 total points.  After, transferring from VMI in 2009, Moore made a huge impact on the team and in the Great West Conference as a Lady Bulldog. In 2010, she was ranked in five categories in the GWC, and was one of the six SC State players named to the GWC All-Conference Team. In 2008, Moore earned the Big South Freshman of the Year for Division I Soccer, and first-team All-Conference accolades and Freshman of the Year for Division I Soccer. 

SC State will travel to Houston, Texas next Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 to take on Houston Baptist. From there they will travel to Orem, UT (Oct. 29) to take on Utah Valley State. The Lady Bulldogs, who is currently atop the GWC will participate in the GWC Tournament, Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 3-6, 2011 in Newark, New Jersey.
