SC State Volleyball Remains Perfect in the MEAC

Lady Bulldogs Wins Fourth

Roberson finished the match hitting .737 (15 kills-19 attempts)
Durham, N.C.--The SC State women's volleyball remained perfect in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) as the defeated North Carolina Central, 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 27-25), in a conference match in Durham, N.C.  With the victory, the Lady Bulldogs winners of the last 9-of-12 contest, improves to 13-11 overall and 5-0 in the MEAC.

For the second straight game red-shirt junior Shabree Roberson (MH, Pflugerville, Texas) hit above .700 as she went recorded 15 kills on 18 attempts for a hitting percentage of .737.  Desire Waller put down 12 kills with nine digs and five total blocks in the contest.  Senior Setter Bria Brimmer put up a game-high 33 set assists in the victory.

Dayanna Arrufat and Emanuelle Santos put down 14 and 10 kills, respectively for North Carolina Central who fell to 2-21 overall and 2-3 in the MEAC.

SC State will close out its three-game road swing this Wednesday, Oct. 19 when they travel to Spartanburg, SC to take on USC-Upstate.
