SC State Women’s Soccer to Host Delaware State

SC State takes on Delaware State

Orangeburg, S.C. — The SC State women's soccer team will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 13 as they take on Delaware State at 7 pm in a Great West Conference (GWC) match-up at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on the campus of SC State.

SC State enters the match-up with an overall record of 2-6-3 and 1-0-1 in the GWC. In their last contest, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Howard University 1-0 in overtime on last Thursday (Oct. 6). Olivia Moore headed in the game-winner off a Veronica Aguilar corner kick in the 99th minute.

Delaware State enters the match-up with an overall record of 1-12-2 and 0-2-1 in the GWC after their loss to NJIT 0-2 on last Friday Oct. 7.
The Lady Bulldogs is led by Olivia Moore with three goals for six points. The Hornets are led by Theresa Wappett with three goals for eight points and Jeanette Salgado with three goals for seven points.

SC State will host NJIT in a GWC match-up this Saturday, Oct. 15 in Rock Hill, SC. This will be a home game for SC State, but played at a neutral site. First kick is set for 1 pm. The Lady Bulldogs will then travel to Annapolis, MD to take on the Naval Academy in a non-conference match-up on Monday, Oct. 17 at 4 pm. They will return home to host Francis Marion in their final home regular-season game next Thursday, Oct. 20. First kick for that match-up is set for 7 pm.
