ORANGEBURG, SC – The SC State men's and women's cross country teams open the 2010 campaign Friday (Sept. 3) at the USC-hosted Gamecock Invitational at Hilton Field at Fort Jackson. The 5K competition gets underway at 6 p.m.

            Joining SC State in the field are Benedict, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Newberry, Paine, USC-Aiken, Savannah College of Art & Design, host USC, USC-Beaufort and Voorhees.

            The meet is the first of six regular-season events for Coach Tyree Price's team. The 2010 schedule is below:
