Greensboro, N.C.—The SC State women's volleyball season closed out its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) season with a 3-0 victory NCAT. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Aggies, 25-21, 25-13 and 25-22 in Corbett Sports Center on the campus of NC A&T.
SC State (13-20, 6-2 MEAC) dominated the beginning of the match as they enjoyed a two game lead heading into the 10 minute intermission.
After the intermission, NC A&T (2-31, 0-8), forced the Lady Bulldogs into a defensive match. The teams exchange side-outs over the first 14 points of the set before the Lady Aggies jumped ahead by four at 18-14. SC State then put together a string of points, as they went on a 5-1 run to jump ahead by one, 18-19. The Lady Bulldogs closed the game on an 11-4 run to take the third set 25-22, and the match 3-0.
Senior
Jarne Gleaton continued to show leadership as she led all-attackers with 11 kills. Paige Webb and
Melissa Robinson picked up 12 and 11 digs respectively while
Bria Brimmer contributed 25 set assists in the victory.
Jeana Daniels led NC A&T offensively with six kills and Amber Inman picked up 10 digs in the loss.
SC State will travel to Charleston, SC to take on the Citadel on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
