SC State Set to Closeout the Home Regular Season against Bethune-Cookman

Lady Bulldogs Celebrate Seniors Day

Sr., Gleaton will play in the final home game of her career

Orangeburg, SC—The SC State women's volleyball team will closeout their home regular season tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. when they host Bethune-Cookman. SC State, who enters tomorrow's contest with an 11-20 overall record and 4-2 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), is currently tied with Norfolk State for the second seed in the Southern Division.

Tomorrow's contest will also be senior's day for SC State. The Lady Bulldogs will honor one senior who will close out her home career at SC State. Jarne Gleaton will wear the garnet and blue for the last time at Dukes Gymnasium.

Gleaton will leave SC State as they all-time kills leader in school history. To date she has recorded 1,129 kills. During her career she has record 169 total blocks and 656 total digs. She is currently ranked third in kills and fourth in points in the MEAC.

SC State will have four regular season games remaining before heading to the 2010 MEAC Volleyball Championships which are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Nov. 19-20 in Baltimore, Md.
