#15 SC State Travel To Battle Morgan St. Thursday On ESPNU

BALTIMORE, MD—The two-time defending MEAC Champion SC State Bulldogs (7-2, 5-1 MEAC) will be on the road for their final two games of the regular season. First stop will be Baltimore, MD against the scrappy Bears of Morgan State (4-5, 3-3). The game will be televised live on ESPN2, with kickoff beginning at 7:30 p.m.
      The Bulldogs enter the contest coming off a 54-14 routing of Howard University on Senior Day at home in Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. 15 Bulldogs seniors were honored and played their final home game among family and friends this past Saturday. Senior QB Malcolm Long became the school's career total offense leader, supplanting his predecessor Cleve McCoy. Long finished with 255 total yards to give him 6,363 for his career. Meanwhile, Morgan State suffered an 37-25 defeat to Norfolk State on last week.
Also, SC State honored legendary Bulldog coach Willie Jeffries for his achievements over the years and being selected into the College Football Hall of Fame and The Black College Football Hall of Fame. The University also approved to name the field “Willie Jeffries Field” after the coaching icon.

IN THE POLLS - #10 B-CU and #15 S.C. Sate move up one spot
Bethune-Cookman is listed at No. 10 after defeating Hampton  last week, 23-18.  The Wildcats entered the Sports Network's Top 25 four weeks ago and are currently ranked #13 in the FCS Coaches Poll and #12 in the AGS poll.  The Wildcats are also ranked #2 in the Sheridan Broadcasting and BoxtoRow media polls.  The South Carolina State Bulldogs are ranked #15 in the Sports Network Top 25 and 14th in the FCS Coaches Poll.  The Bulldogs are also #4 in the Sheridan and BoxtoRow media polls.

SC State will close out regular season play next week when the Bulldogs travel to Greensboro, NC to take on the Aggies of N.C. A&T in a “Battle of the Borders”. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m.
