Orangeburg, SC—The SC State women's volleyball team will travel to Baton Rouge, La. to participate in the Southern University Tournament. The tournament, which will be held this Friday-Saturday, Oct. 15-16, will be played at the Seymour Gymnasium on the campus of the Southern University.
SC State, who enters the tournament with a 6-18 overall record, will open the weekend with Jackson State at 11 a.m. on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs will then face Alabama State at 9 a.m. Saturday and close the tournament with Mississippi Valley State on Saturday, at 1 p.m. The championship match of the tournament is scheduled for Saturday evening.
After playing the last six matches on the road, the Lady Bulldogs will return home to host Florida A&M on Friday, Oct. 22 and Bethune-Cookman on Sunday, Oct. 24. Both contests will be played in Dukes Gymnasium on the campus of SC State.
