Orangeburg, SC—The SC State women's volleyball team fell to the University of South Carolina, 0-3, (18-25, 17-25, 17-25), in a non-conference match-up in the Dukes Gymnasium on the campus of South Carolina State. With the loss the Lady Bulldogs fall to 13-19 while the Gamecocks improve to 14-12.
The University of South Carolina had two players to record double-digit kills as Hannah Lawing and Megan Laughlin put down 14 and 12 kills respectively. Sarah Cline picked up a game-high 19 digs in the victory.
SC State will travel to Baltimore, Md. next weekend, November 19-22, 2009 for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Volleyball Championships.
