SC State Falls to the University of South Carolina, 0-3, in Women’s Volleyball

Orangeburg, SC—The SC State women's volleyball team fell to the University of South Carolina, 0-3, (18-25, 17-25, 17-25), in a non-conference match-up in the Dukes Gymnasium on the campus of South Carolina State. With the loss the Lady Bulldogs fall to 13-19 while the Gamecocks improve to 14-12.
 
Jarne Gleaton once again led the Lady Bulldogs offensively with seven kills. Lauren Harris picked up 13 digs and Bria Brimmer had 19 assists in the loss.
 
The University of South Carolina had two players to record double-digit kills as Hannah Lawing and Megan Laughlin put down 14 and 12 kills respectively. Sarah Cline picked up a game-high 19 digs in the victory.
 
SC State will travel to Baltimore, Md. next weekend, November 19-22, 2009 for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Volleyball Championships.
