Orangeburg, SC—The SC State women's volleyball team will open its 2009 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play, Monday, Oct. 5, versus the eight-time MEAC defending champions, Florida A&M Lady Rattlers.
SC State, who enters tomorrow night game with a 6-12 overall record, last season (Oct 17, 2008) handed Florida A&M its first MEAC regular season conference lost in 98 matches. The Lady Bulldogs will try to regroup and get back on the winning track after dropping its last three non-conference matchups. Tomorrow's game with the Lady Rattlers is set for a 6 p.m. first serve.
SC State will host Savannah State in a non-conference game on Friday, Oct. 9 before hosting the Lady Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman in a conference game on Sunday, Oct. 11. Friday's contest is set for 6 p.m. start while Sunday's match will have a 1 p.m. first serve.
All three contests will be played in Dukes Gymnasium on the campus of SC State and are free and open to the public.
