Three Bulldogs Earn Sports Network All-America Honors

Ford and Harriso 2nd team, Darby honorable mention

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Three members of the 2008 Mid-Eastern Athletic Championship team have been named to the  2008 Sports Network All-American Team Tuesday in Philadelphia, PA.

Junior running back Will Ford, Senior offensive lineman Raymond Harrison earned second-team honors, while Senior tight end Octavius Darby was picked honorable mention.

All three earlier were name to the All-MEAC first-team and BoxToRow.com BASN HBCU All-American team. Ford earned Offensive Player of the Year honors this season, while Harrison was named Offensive Lineman of the Year.
 
SC State compiled a 10-3 overall mark and won the 2008 league championship with an unblemished 8-0 mark to earn the school's first appearance in the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Div-1-AA) Championship in 26 years.
 
South Carolina State lost 38-21 to three-time defending champion Appalachian State in the opening round of the playoffs.
