SC State Shut-Out by VMI in Womens Soccer

 
Lexington, VA—The South Carolina State women's soccer team fell to VMI, 6-0, in a non-conference match-up.
 
The Lady Bulldogs could not get anything going offensively as they had only seven total shots with three shots-on- goal in the entire 90 minutes of play. VMI dominated the first half of the game as they had 26 of their 39 shots and all six of its goal with four assists in the first 45 minutes of play. The Lady Bulldogs managed to allow only four shots-on-goal in the second half.
 
Olivia Moore recorded a hat trick with three goals to lead VMI offensively. Moore also had one assist in the game. Chrissy Beach scored two goals while Kathleen Underwood scored one goal in the victory.
 
With the loss SC State falls to 0-1-1 on the season while VMI improves to 2-2-0.
 
The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action this Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Charleston, SC to take on the Bulldogs of The Citadel.
