WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Senior Cory Jozefiak and sophomore Hector Arroyave finished 1-2 in the field to lead South Carolina State to the team title at the 36-hole Winston-Salem State Golf Invitational at the par 71, 6,214-yard Winston-Lake Country Club Tuesday.

36-hole total of 148 to take medalist honors, while Arroyave had a 3-over par 74 over the final 18 holes after a 79 on Monday for a two-day total of 153 -- 11-over par – to grab second.
The Bulldogs carded a final-round total of 300 to take 28 strokes off their opening round of 328 for a 36-hole total of 628 to win the event.
Hampton was second at (346-307) 653, followed by host Winston-Salem State at (348-341) 689, Johnson C. Smith at (390-390) 780 and North Carolina Central at (489-406) at 795.
For the Bulldogs, Jozefiak and Arroyave were followed in the individual standings by senior Aaron Robinson with a (85-77) 162 and Matt Gilliard at (86-79) 165. Also competing for SC State was Thomas Biggers with a (88-85) 173.
