SC State Cross Country Teams at The Citadel Friday

ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State men's and women's cross country teams travel to Charleston Friday for The Citadel-Dual Challenge. The competition is the second outing of the year for Coach Tyree Price's squad, which opened its season last week at the Gamecock Invitational at Columbia.

            Other teams in Friday's field are host The Citadel, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Georgia Southern and Savannah State.

            Competing for the SC State women Friday will be senior Brittany Strange, juniors Natalee Allen, Lauren Lawson and Tempest Vance, sophomore Kristi Foster and freshmen Latasha Wright and LaSha Moss.

            Participants for the men are seniors Richard Elisu and Tyreese Clark, junior Kenneth Rackins, sophomores Marvin Williams and Mark Elmore and freshmen Jared Williams and DeAngelo Bolden.

            In last week's outing at Columbia, Strange was the top finisher for the women, covering the 5k run in 21:11.1, while Elisu led the men with a time of 18:54.11.
