Rock Hill, SC—The South Carolina State women's soccer team fell to Winthrop University, 4-0, in a non-conference match-up.
The Lady Bulldogs could not get anything going offensively as they had only one shot in the entire 90 minutes of play. Despite playing as the goal-keeper for the first time in five games, Bridget Mack had a good game defensively for the Lady Bulldogs, recording eight saves off 12 shots on goal.
Chelsea White recorded a hat trick with three goals to lead Winthrop offensively. Stevie Lucas scored the other goal for the Lady Eagles.
With the loss SC State falls to 2-8 on the season while Winthrop improves to 2-4-3.
The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action this Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. when they host the Lancers of Longwood College at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on the campus of SC State.
