Orangeburg, SC—The South Carolina State women's soccer team fell to Appalachian State, 1-0, in a non-conference match-up at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.

 

Junior goal-keeper Alechia Brothers had an outstanding game in the net allowing only one goal on 11 shots faced. Offensively the Lady Bulldogs, (2-7-0), could not get anything moving as they were out-shot by Appalachian State, (6-1-3), 19-4.

 

Jennifer Macneill scored the only goal of the game off an assist from Casey Cleary.
