Orangeburg, SC—For the second time in two matches the South Carolina State women's volleyball team fell to Norfolk State, 3-0, 23-30, 24-30, 23-30, in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match-up in Dukes Gymnasium. 

The Lady Bulldogs, (7-16, 1-3 MEAC), could not get anything going offensively, as they did not have any players to record double-digit kills. Jarne Gleaton (5-11, Fr., West Columbia, SC), recorded a team high nine kills in the loss. Senior Monique Walker did however have a good game defensively with 11 digs and five block-assists in the loss.

Chantel Cherry led the Spartans, (4-19, 2-2 MEAC), with 10 kills while Abaina Farrell recorded 17 digs in the victory.

SC State will return to action next Tuesday, Oct. 16 when they travel Charleston, South Carolina to take on The Citadel. The Lady Bulldogs will be back in Orangeburg on Thursday, Nov. 8 when they host Coppin State University.
