Avis Howell-Gathers is a retired higher education administrator with decades of experience dedicated to advancing student success. Throughout her career, she implemented programs and initiatives that fostered academic achievement, personal development, and career readiness. A proud alum of South Carolina State University, Avis attributes much of her professional drive to the values instilled during her time at SCSU. In retirement, she remains committed to supporting education, mentoring future leaders, and giving back to the community.
