Michael Jackson

    Volunteer Assistant Track Coach (Jumps)
Michael Jackson is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the SC State men’s and women’s track and field teams. His primary duties will be assisting with the high jumpers and long jumpers.
 
Jackson brings a wealth of jumping experience to the Bulldog program. He competed collegiately at Division II powerhouse St. Augustine College (NC) under 2004 Olympic Head Coach George Williams.
 
While at St. Augustine, Jackson was a member of the Two-Time National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II National Championships (2006 and 2007). He was also the 2007 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) individual champion in the high jump and long jump. For his outstanding efforts he received multiple All-American Awards during his career.
 
A native of Bamberg, SC, Jackson received his Bachelor of Arts in sociology in 2007 from St. Augustine College.
