Litia Godinet is in her first season as the head coach for the South Carolina State women’s tennis team.
She began her collegiate career as a student- athlete at New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI), where she was a standout performer at the No.1 and No. 2 singles position and No. 1 doubles during her two year playing career at NMMI.
After graduating from the New Mexico Military Institute, Godinet transferred to Stillman College to complete her last two years of eligibility. During her time at Stillman she was named Most Valuable Player, SIAC All-Conference, and SIAC All Tournament in singles and doubles, and back -to-back Player of the Year honors.
She led the Tigers to their first SIAC Championship in 2013 and 2014 and was selected by the National Olympic committee to represent her country in the University Games held in Kazan, Russia in July 2013.
Godinet was also nominated to play for the Pacific Team in the Women’s Tennis Fed Cup and was recently selected to represent American Samoa in the 2015 South Pacific Games held in Papua New Guinea.
A native from Pago Pago, American Samoa , she earned her Associates of Arts from New Mexico Military in May 2012 and her bachelor’s degree from Stillman College in General Studies concentration in Biology in May 2014.
