YAÍZA FERNÁNDEZ VIJANDE

2025-26: Fernández Vijande enters her junior season with South Carolina State after earning First Team All-SWAC honors in 2025. She was also recognized as a WGCA All-American Scholar for the 2024-25 academic year.
Prior to SC State: A native of Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, Fernández Vijande attended Instituto Aramo and graduated in 2024. Her golf résumé includes a third-place finish at the 2023 Spanish Women’s Second Category Championship. She was the Asturias Sub-16 champion in both 2021 and 2022 and captured the Spanish Women’s Third Category championship in 2019.
Personal: Fernández Vijande is a history major at South Carolina State. Away from the golf course, she enjoys reading and listening to music. She is also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the 2026-27 academic year.
