Tamisha Augustin

Tamisha Augustin is entering her second season as a women’s basketball assistant coach with the South Carolina State women’s basketball program.

Augustin, who brings a wealth of knowledge to the Lady Bulldogs, most recently was the head varsity girl’s basketball coach with Bethel High School in Hampton, Va. Earlier she served as the junior varsity girl’s coach at Bethel and the freshman coach for the Nike Boo Williams Summer League in Hampton.

Throughout her short career, Augustin has spent time as a junior varsity boy’s basketball coach at Henry County High School (2007-08), the head coach for the Georgia Metro Nike Travel Team (2006-08) and the varsity boy’s basketball assistant at Love Joy High School (2006-07). In 2008 Augustin was the first American player to play professional for Club KSC-Szekszard in (city) Hungary.

A standout student-athlete at Alabama A&M University, Augustine was a two-time All-SWAC selection and a four-year captain of the Alabama A&M women’s basketball team. Augustin earned both her bachelor’s in biology (2005) and her master’s in microbiology (2007) from Alabama A&M.

She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Alabama A&M Alumni Association.
