Marcell Harrison

Marcell Harrison enters her second season as an assistant coach with the SC State women's basketball program.  Harrison joined the SC Staff after a 13-year stint at her alma mater George Mason University. While on staff at George Mason, Harrison helped lead the Patriots to a 2004 Women’s National Invitational Tournament Bid. 
 
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Harrison was a standout player with the Patriots, garnishing many post-season awards. As a freshman she was named to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) All-Rookie team. She was named to the first-team All CAA as a junior and the second team All-CAA as a sophomore and senior. Harrison finished her career as the school all-time steals leader with 237, and ranks second in that category. Harrison also ranks fourth-all-time in 3-point field goals made with 143, and is fifth in both assists (421), as well as points (1,499).
 
Originally from Troy, NY, Harrison received her sociology degree from George Mason in 1994.
