Following his first tenure at Bowie State, he spent five seasons (2000-05) as an assistant at Delaware State during a stretch when the Lady Hornets reached the MEAC tournament final three times and captured the regular-season title once (2004). Robertson also served a stint as an assistant at St. John’s (1999-2000).

Robertson earned a bachelor’s from Bowie State in 1995. He is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
