South Carolina State University Athletics

Alexis Pace is in her third season as an assistant coach with the women’s basketball program at South Carolina State University. 

Prior to joining the Lady Bulldog coaching staff, Pace spent four seasons as the assistant women’s basketball coach and recruiting coordinator at her alma mater, the University of West Georgia. She began her career as the graduate assistant at UWG during the 2010-11 season. Pace was promoted to Associate Head coach during the 2014-2015 season. 

Pace was a four-year player on the UWG women’s basketball team from 2006-2010, playing in 106 games and starting in half of those contests. She served as team captain from 2008-2010 and played her role solidly on several strong squads throughout her career. 
 
Pace is a native of Griffin, Ga. and played basketball at Griffin High School. While there, she earned several Georgia all-region honors and Atlanta Tip-Off Club honorable mentions.? She averaged 13 points and 12 rebounds throughout her career. Pace is also the sister of former Syracuse standout, Josh Pace, who coaches basketball at Pepperdine University. 

Pace earned her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from the University of West Georgia in 2010.? She completed her Master’s degree in Teaching Secondary English Education in spring 2014.
