Biography
At SC State:
2023-24: entering the first season as a member of the Lady Bulldogs Basketball team
Before SC State: Transferred to SC State after one season with Georgetown College, and a short stint at the University of Toledo. As a member of the Tigers Women’s Basketball Team, Colòn averaged 14 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. She shot 68.2% from the free throw line and 61.1% from the field.
Colon spent two seasons with the Lady Lions (Community College of Philadelphia) where she averaged a team-high 22.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 3.8 steals in 23 games as a sophomore. She shot 52.2 percent (198-of-379) from the floor, including 28.0 percent (28-of-100) from three-point land, and 71.2 percent (89-of-125) from the free throw line. Colon scored in double figures on 20 occasions during the year, including a career-best 41 points against Delaware County on Dec. 10. She also totaled at least 20 points 16 times. Colon was named first-team All-Region XIX and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Player of the Year for a second-straight season.
High School: played her prep career at Mastery Charter Thomas Campus as a three-year varsity letter winner in basketball. During her senior season, she was named First Team All-Public Division MVP and averaged 20 pts, 15 rebounds, and five assists.
Personal: a native of Philadelphia, PA majoring in Addiction and Trauma Therapy.
