Courtney Kinlaw is in her first season serving on the South Carolina State University Track and Field staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

Kinlaw was a standout athlete at Campbell University where she set the school records in the long jump, triple jump and 4x400 meter relay. She also earned Atlantic Sun all-conference honors in the 60 meters, 100 meter, 4x400, long jump and triple jump.  

Upon graduating early from Campbell University, Kinlaw transferred to East Tennessee State University to complete her last year of NCAA eligibility.  At ETSU, she earned Atlantic Sun all-conference honors in the 100 meters, 4x100 and long jump. She also earned All-American honors for the 4x100m during the 2013 outdoor season.

Since finishing her NCAA eligibility, Kinlaw has been competing as a post-collegiate athlete in the 60-meter dash, under her former collegiate coach and current South Carolina State assistant coach, Brandon Morton. During the 2014 indoor season, she qualified for and competed in the 60-meter dash at the USA Track and Field National Championships, in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Conway, S.C. native earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from Campbell in May 2012 and a master’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in sport performance and coaching from ETSU in May 2014.
