South Carolina State University Athletics

Terica Peay is in her first year at South Carolina State University as Assistant Director of Media Relations for Athletics.

Terica comes to SC State after spending the last five years at The Onnidan Group as an associate and independent contractor and game operation assistant. She was responsible for media coverage, game operations and maintaining statistical information for various sport teams and Athletics department.

Peay is well-connected and respected among SIDs and officials among the CIAA, SIAC, and MEAC.
 
Prior to Onnidan, Peay served as assistant game operations manager at her alma mater, Johnson C. Smith, from 2011 to 2019.  During that time, she also served as the interim Asst. SID in 2017. She also, worked at various institutions assisting sports information as a liaison, which included Winston-Salem State University, Winthrop University, Allen University, Davidson College, and Clinton College. She also served in the official statistician capacity with SCSU since 2018 for basketball and volleyball.

A 2010 graduate of Johnson C Smith University, Peay was a two-sport student-athlete in basketball and softball. She also coached intramural basketball at JCSU from 2008-2010, amateur adult softball for City of Rock Hill in 2020-2022. Peay also held track and cross-country records for the state of South Carolina while attending high School in Chester, SC before moving to High Point in 2005. She is a 2006 graduate of Lucy Ragsdale High School, located in Jamestown, NC.

Peay, is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Phi Epsilon Kappa Honor Society, and Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity.
