Carla B. Mitchell is entering her 18th season in the Department of Athletics. She serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Ticket Operations/Vending.
Prior to joining the athletics department, Mitchell spent five years with the SC State University Foundation, Inc. She also had an eight-year stint with the Montgomery & Company Insurance Agency where she was a licensed property and casualty agent.
A native of Orangeburg, S.C., Mitchell graduated from SC State with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She is also an alumna of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.
Mitchell is an active member of Andrew Chapel Baptist Church, SC State University National Alumni Association, SC State Employees Association, National Association of College Directors of Athletics, and The STATE Club.
She is the proud mother of three adult children, Shannon Rashad, Kimberly Nichole, and Emanuel Desane and one granddaughter, Nova Victoria.
