ABOUT MYERS: A first-year member for the Bulldogs…One of the talented trio of freshman signed by SC State in early fall of last season…A very smart, hard nose guard who possess great athletic ability on both offense and defense…A complete athlete but shooting guard by nature, makes great decisions with the basketball in transition…Had a great preseason along with newcomers, Mitchell, and Palmer…Will play a key role for the Bulldogs success this season…HIGH SCHOOL: The 6-2 Myers was an integral part of the Bruins posting 20-plus wins for the first time since 2003…He averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a junior and earned All-Region honors, as well as being named Best Offensive Player in the 2010-11 season. ..A two sport team captain for Cross Country and Basketball, Myers was also named Most Valuable Athlete in Cross Country three years in a row.
