Kyle Perry is in his second season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at South Carolina State
 
Perry’s’ responsibilities include recruiting, scheduling, scouting and on the floor coaching. He has been an instrumental force in helping land some of South Carolina State’s top recruits since joining the Bulldog family in June of 2007.
 
Perry came to SC State with six seasons of collegiate coaching experience. He spent the 2006-07 season at the College of Charleston (C of C) under his college coach at Georgia Tech and current College of Charleston head coach Bobby Cremins.
 
Before making his way to the Palmetto State, Perry spent four seasons as an assistant at Carson Newman College under Coach Dale Clayton and was promoted to the associate head coach in the 2005-2006 season. Perry began his coaching career as a graduate assistant under Jeff Lebo at Tennessee Tech.
 
In his eight seasons of collegiate coaching, Perry has signed five all-conference players and one conference rookie of the year (current SC State player Carrio Bennett). While at the C of C Perry signed all conference guard Andrew Goudelock of Stone Mountain, Georgia. In the 2007-08 season, Goudelock was named to the Southern Conference all-rookie team and became the all-time freshman leading scorer at the C of C.
 
Perry earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia Tech in 2001 and his master’s degree in Education Administration in 2002 from Tennessee Tech. Perry originally from Gallatin, Tennessee resides in Columbia South Carolina with his wife Kristen Perry.
