Is rehabbing from an injury sustained in the spring...Will miss several early games but could return by midseason and provide strong play and leadership down the stretch...Is among the most talented defensive players on the Bulldog squad...Has been an unsung hero on the SC State defense and a major contributor on special teams. 2009: Was the starter at the “Bandit” or “Dog” position in all 12 SC State contests...Finished seventh on the team in total tackles with 48, including 29 solos...Also had five tackles for loss and one sack...Tied for the lead in interceptions with three, including one in the FCS playoffs against Appalachian State, and had two fumble recoveries. 2008: Saw action in 12 of the team’s 13 games…Recorded 33 total tackles, 23 of which were unassisted…Added four tackles for loss and a sack…Had his best outing with eight tackles in the Bulldogs’ 28-19 triumph over Bethune-Cookman…Was also a starter on special teams. 2007: Played in eight games as a true freshman, seeing limited action in the secondary… Saw a lot of playing time on special teams and performed well…Has outstanding ability and should become a significant player for SC State who beat out Colorado for the former Region 4-A Player of the Year.
