Many of our loyal sons and daughters have asked how they can further support Bulldog Athletics during this time,
which has led to the creation of the BULLDOG RELIEF FUND, an initiative focused on alleviating
financial challenges of the athletics department.
As we have yet to realize the full impact of the COVID19 pandemic, we know in the immediate future there will be some significant changes to our budget; however, the core of what we do in providing necessary resources for our 280 student-athletes must remain the same.
With your financial support this past year, Bulldog Athletics was awarded the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) 2019-20 Graduation Success Rate (GSR) Award and the football team was crowned the 2019 Co-MEAC Champions.

BUDGET UPDATES
- An approximate $4.05M projected decrease in SC State Athletics' 2020-2021 budget compared to 2019-2020
- 50% reduction for all sport and department budgets as well as other cost containment strategies
- 10% reduction in salaries from staff members and athletic positions
- Additional expenses will be absorbed by the department to provide scholarships and other resources to seniors for Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 sports who have elected to return to campus for a fifth year.

BULLDOG FOOTBALL SEASON INFORMATION
The MEAC Conference office has adopted a four game regional schedule that will be played in Spring 2021. Due to COVID-19, social distancing requirements could potentially limit the game day attendance. Therefore, we encourage you to purchase your season tickets immediately for the Spring season. In the event that season tickets are limited, they will be honored on a first come first sold basis.
If you have renewed your STATE Club membership or purchased your 2020 season tickets your options are as follows:

1. Donate your season ticket purchase or STATE Club membership donation to the Bulldog Relief Fund.

2. Transfer your 2020 payment to your Fall 2021 Football season/STATE Club membership.

3. Given the extraordinary times and the uncertainty we all face, we are also offering refunds.
Your gift to the Bulldog Relief Fund will support our athletics program suffering from a financial hardship as a result of circumstances surrounding COVID -19.
As we reflect on our past through good times and tough times, we know when Bulldogs come together with tenacity - special things can happen.
