Was a two-sport standout at SC State, earning multiple letters in both football and basketball…Earned All-SIAC honors in football three years and garnered the honor in basketball twice…Was second on the team in rushing in 1968 and was among the team’s top scorers and rebounders in basketball two seasons (1967-69)…Was drafted by the Houston Oilers of the NFL in 1969 in the sixth round…Was traded to Buffalo after one season and was a top reserve at tight end for Buffalo, where he played two seasons and amassed 15 catches.
