ABOUT MITCHELL:  A first-year member for the Bulldogs…One of the most talented freshmen to enter SC State under Carters tenure…A very pure athlete who can play multiple positions on the floor… A combo guard, who can shoot, defend, run the floor, and rebound…Considered a true point guard at heart but can also post up and knock down the long range jump shot in transition…Had a great preseason workout and is expected to be a starter this season for the Bulldogs…HIGH SCHOOL: A  two-sport athlete who lived up to the billing in averaging 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals per game for the Baptist Hill Bobcats his senior campaign…During his junior year he tallied 18.9 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 4.6 apg, and 4.7 spg during the 2010-11 season, while earning  6-A Region Player of the Year his junior year and SCBCA Class A Player of the Year honors , while being named to the 2012 North/South All-Star Classic his senior year… A five year starter for Baptist Hill he also earned two All-State and four All-Region awards over his career…. Voted one of the Top Five Seniors in 1-A basketball, he scored 2,000 career points, while maintaining a 3.7 GPA throughout his high school career...
