NORFOLK, Va. — Defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and HBCU National Champion South Carolina State will take center stage Tuesday, July 21, during the 2026 MEAC Football Media Day at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.

Bulldogs head coach Chennis Berry will represent South Carolina State alongside offensive lineman James Reddick II and defensive lineman Jordan Dollard. The trio will join head coaches and student-athletes from across the conference as anticipation builds for the upcoming football season.

The annual event provides members of the media exclusive access to the coaches and players who will shape the storylines and expectations surrounding the 2026 MEAC football campaign.

South Carolina State enters the season as the conference's standard-bearer under Berry, who begins his third year at the helm after leading the Bulldogs to consecutive MEAC championships in 2024 and 2025. The Bulldogs cemented their status among the nation's elite HBCU programs last season by defeating Prairie View A&M 40-38 in a four-overtime thriller in the Celebration Bowl to capture the 2025 HBCU national championship.

The Bulldogs will open the 2026 season at home on Aug. 29 against Savannah State. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Oliver C. Dawson Stadium at Willie Jeffries Field.
