CARY, N.C., April 25, 2026 – South Carolina State secured its sixth consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) men's tennis championship with a 4–0 victory over Norfolk State on April 25 at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.
South Carolina State struck first by claiming the doubles point, highlighted by the dominant play of
Mikalai Bankou and
Novak Novakovic, who won the No. 1 match 6–2. At No. 2,
Iliyas Maratuly and
Andrii Borodatiuk defeated Boris Lunin and Szymon Jansen 7–5.
Norfolk State earned a win at the No. 3 position, where Szymon Malecki and Marcin Andrzejczak defeated
Bastian Zamora and
Gabriel Johnson 6–4. However, South Carolina State took control in singles play, winning at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 to secure its 21st overall MEAC men's tennis championship title.
With the victory, South Carolina State earns the MEAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament.
