Women’s Basketball Turn Attention To Morgan St.

BALTIMORE, Md. —The South Carolina State women's basketball team turn their attention to another league foe Saturday (Jan.10) when they take on host Morgan State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) showdown at 2 p.m. inside Hill Field House.

SETTING THE STAGE: South Carolina State (4-13, 1-1 MEAC) ended a five-game losing streak, following its 58-47 victory at Coppin State on Thursday. Iemyiah Harris scored a game-high 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had a game-high five steals in the win. Ja'Siiyah Holmes hauled in a game-high nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, The Lady Bears (2-16, 1-1 MEAC) put to rest a season-long 14-game losing skid on Thursday with a 64-63 win over visiting North Carolina Central. It was their first home game since Dec. 6, 2025 when they played host to UMBC.
 
MSU VS. SCSU SERIES NOTES: Morgan State leads the all-time series, 49-40. The Lady Bears have won 14 straight over the Lady Bulldogs, including sweeping last season's series.
 
NEXT UP: The Lady Bulldogs return home Saturday, Jan. 17 to take on the visiting MEAC Champion Norfolk State in an pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
