CARY, NC—The South Carolina State men's and women's tennis team finished undefeated in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play over the weekend in the MEAC Tennis Round-up at the Cary Tennis Park.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 10-3 overall, 4-0 in the MEAC, while the Bulldogs improved to 9-5 overall, 3-0 in the league.
On Day 1: The Bulldogs posted an 7-0 shutout victory over Morgan State, while the Lady Bulldogs defeated Howard 5-2.
On Day 2: The women dominated in an 7-0 posting over Morgan State, while the men closed out with an 6-1 win against Howard.
On Day 3: In the final day competition SC State men won easily 7-0 over Coppin State, with the women posting a pair of victories over Coppin State (7-0) and Delaware State (5-2).
"I am proud of both teams. The men dominated their matches and the women had four matches in three days," said SC State head coach Hardeep Judge. "Both teams remain undefeated in conference. The women's team had two matches today and they started extremely slow against Delaware."
Judge noted, "It was great to also get my 600th win in our last match. We will continue to work hard. Both teams have things to work on and we need to work extremely hard."
NEXT UP: The men and women will host Benedict College on Wednesday (March. 27) at the Hardeep Judge Tennis Center. First serve is 1 p.m.
