Lady Bulldogs Fall To No.1 Seed Norfolk In MEAC Tourney

NORFOLK, VA—The South Carolina State women's basketball team closed out the season in a tough 75-43 loss to top-seed Norfolk State in the opening round of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Wednesday (March 13) inside the Scope Arena.

SC State finishes the season at 2-28 overall, 1-13 in the MEAC.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by senior guard Cassandra Colon with nine (9) points, while Jayah Hicks added seven (7) in the loss.

Jordan Releford and Morgan Beachman each added six (6) points respectively on the day.

Norfolk State was led by Diamond Johnson and Kierra Wheeler with 19 points each.
