ORANGEBURG, SC— South Carolina State men's basketball team look to get back on the winning track Monday (Feb. 5) when they host Coppin State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic conference (MEAC) showdown inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
SERIES: Coppin State leads the series 10-12 over South Carolina State dating back to 2008. Last time the two teams met SC State defeated Coppin State 94-84 on Feb. 11, 2023.
LAST TIMEOUT: SC State dropped a heartbreaking loss to Morgan State, 70-72, Saturday (Feb. 3
rd) at home. Junior guard
Michael Teal led the Bulldogs with a team-high 15 points in the loss. Meanwhile, Coppin State (2-18 overall, 1-5 MEAC) suffered a 46-77 setback to North Carolina Central on the road, Ryan Archey led the way for the Eagles with 19 points.
NEXT UP: The Bulldogs take a break from league play for a showdown with non-conference foe Chicago State on Saturday (Feb. 10
