NEW ORLEANS, La. –Three Bulldogs will represent South Carolina State University at the second annual HBCU Legacy Bowl on Feb. 24, televised live by the NFL Network at 3 p.m. (CT) from Yulman Stadium on the campus of Tulane University.

All-MEAC performers defensive lineman Jeblonski Green, Jr., defensive end Patrick Godbolt and defensive back Malcolm Magee will compete for Team Gaither.

Godbolt (Blythewood, SC), an All-MEAC First Team honoree, finished the season with 38 tackles (26 solo), 14 tackles for loss for 47-yards,four (4) sacks for 13-yards, four (4) pass breakups, one (1) forced fumble, one(1) fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry.

Green (Lamar, SC), a Preseason All-MEAC selection posted 16 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss for 12-yards, two (2) sacks for 11-yards, one (1) interception, one (1) pass breakup and two (2) quarterback hurries in 11 games this past season.

Magee (Collins, Miss), a graduate transfer from Alcorn State made an immediate impact upon his arrival with the Bulldogs. He added to the SC State secondary in 11 games with 28 tackles, two (2) interceptions, three (3) pass breakups, one (1) quarterback hurry, one (1) forced fumble and one (1) fumble recovery.

The HBCU Combine, in collaboration with the NFL, will be held on Feb. 20 at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center, the New Orleans Saints practice facility. All 32 NFL clubs are expected to be in attendance.

The HBCU Legacy Bowl, presented by the Black College Football Hall of Fame, is a postseason all-star game showcasing the best NFL draft-eligible football players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
