ORANGEBURG, SC—Diamond Johnson tossed in a game-high 21 points to lead top-ranked Norfolk State to an, 94-33, win over host South Carolina State Saturday (Jan.6) in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

South Carolina State falls to 1-15 overall, 0-1 MEAC, while the Lady Spartans improve to 11-4 overall, 1-0 in the league.

Cassandra Colon' led SCSU with 10 points, while Jhaven Meade grabbed a team-high seven (7) rebounds in the loss.

UP NEXT: South Carolina State return to conference play Monday (Jan.8) at home versus Howard in the first of a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader in a 5:30 p.m. start.
