CHARLOTTE, NC---The South Carolina State Bulldogs look to rebound this Saturday (Sept. 2^nd) against FBS foe Charlotte in a pivotal non-conference showdown at Jerry Richardson Stadium. Kickoff is 6 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPN+.

Calling all Bulldog Nation to wear Blue to support your South Carolina State Bulldogs versus Charlotte 49ers.

THE MATCHUP: The 49ers will start the season off against the Bulldogs, while SC State looks to bounce back after a 37-7 loss to Jackson State in the annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta, GA.

Coach Buddy Pough is entering is 22^nd and final season as the leader of the Bulldog program. Pough is the All-Time Winningest Coach in school history and has led SC State to eight (8) Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships during his tenure.

For Charlotte the home opener kicks off the season with a celebration of the program's 10th Anniversary with a slew of former players expected to attend.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE CHARLOTTE vs. SC STATE GAME
For your awareness, here are a few important notes and key stadium security measures:

• Gates open 1.5 hours prior to kickoff. Anyone wishing to access stadium should have a ticket or credential.
• All items are subject to search and only bags 12x 16x12 or smaller and clear in color are allowed.
• Jerry Richardson Stadium will have metal detectors at all entrances. Anyone entering the facility will be asked to remove large metal items from their person, including phones and keys. Jackets, shoes, and belts are not required to be removed.
• Tailgating lots open 3 hours to kickoff or weekday games and 4 hours prior to kickoff for weekend game.
• Only those individuals with a working purpose and credential should be on field level while the game is being played.
